This course includes 8 units of study, 48 hours of live training and 32 hours of asynchronous coursework plus additional hand-on application of learning for each unit.

LETRS, Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling!  It equips teachers with the research-based strategies and tools necessary to teach language comprehension and word recognitionβ€”as well as the brain science behind it β€”to promote student reading and spelling success.  Since 2020, APS has enrolled over 145 teachers in the program. The majority of our Kindergarten-2nd grade teachers have completed the program; current enrollments include teachers of 3rd-5th grade, special education, English Language Learners, and K-5 teachers who are new to APS. Structured Literacy Training will expand to 6th grade in the 2025/2026 school year.

Congratulations to our amazing teachers who completed the training program!!! πŸ₯³πŸ™Œ
