Film Production Flyer

Course Description

The AHS Film Production courses provide instruction in concepts and applications of audio and video mediums for the purposes of education and entertainment as it pertains to the film industry. Emphasis in film production processes is the foundation.  Elements of pre-production (planning / design, storyboarding, scripting, scheduling, filming) introduced and practiced in class. Production and post production are facilitated in the classroom, with post production using Final Cut Pro X Industry software. Student filmmaking culminates with the submission of a project into an annual statewide film competition, and students are strongly encouraged to participate.  Script writing essentials, story boarding, and creative logistics will be continually addressed.  Skills are matched to film crew certification courses in post secondary digital media programs of study.
