Course Description
This program offers many courses to help prepare students for future careers in agriculture and allows students to gain hands-on experience. Classes are worth elective credits and some are even offered as science credits. Enrollment in these classes also allows students to join the AHS FFA Chapter, an extracurricular national organization. Coordination of all activities that contribute to the production, processing, marketing, distribution, financing and development of agricultural commodities and resources. This includes food, fiber, wood products, natural resources, horticulture, and other plant and animal products and services. The goal of sustainable agriculture is to meet society’s food and textile needs in the present without the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
